About the myCollectors website
This is the sister website to the Collectors Centre Online
Established in 1965 , the Collectors Centre was formerly
known as "The Stamp Shop" and offered a wide selection of Stamps,
First Day Covers and other philatelic items to the public.
Following a gradual shift towards other markets such as old Postcards, Cigarette Cards, Blazer
Badges, Ties, Coins and medals, the Stamp Shop changed its name to The Collectors
Centre in 1983, it now supports a new partnership to service the World Wide Web, with the twin websites - "myCollectors" and the "Collectors Centre Online".
Scenic Location
Located within a stones throw of the sea, The Collectors
Centre is in the shadow of Scarborough's Grand Hotel , a hotel which at
the time of its building in the 1860's was the World's Largest Hotel.
The unrivalled sea
views and fresh sea air are appreciated by tourists and locals alike. The shop and now the online
store boast a sizeable number of patrons, with people often travelling
long distances to pay a visit to the Collectors Centre and now purchasing online from all around the world.
